UNESCO agrees to renew the Agreement established on 17 May 2018, for four years, until 17 May 2026.
According to the UNESCO, "We are confident that the UNESCO Chair will continue to work closely with UNESCO Secretariat, notably with the UNESCO water family and other stakeholders in the field of water issues and to contribute to UNESCO Natural Sciences' strategie priorities and to the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) Phase IX, through research, training, knowledge sharing and documentation at national, regional and global levels.
The UNESCO Paris and Sobhi Tawil, Director of the Future of Learning and Innovation at UNESCO Headquarters, congratulate the Chair for its global initiative on Ancestral Ecotechnologies for Climate Emergency, and for the coordination of the European Project "SURE NEXUS" for climate change adaptation and sustainable development implementation.
