UNESCOSOST exhibition: Interrelation between agricultural producers in Terrassa and Puebla (Mexic)

The exhibition is presented from November 15 to 28 at the Escola Superior d'Enginyeria Industrial, Aeroespacial i Audiovisual de Terrassa (ESEIAAT), building TR1.

UNESCOSOST presents the exhibition: "Interrelation between agricultural producers and university: Experiences in Terrassa and Puebla (Mexic)" in order to visualize the agricultural practices of Santa Isabel Cholula Puebla (Mexic) and Terrassa. The exhibition presents the agricultural challenges of both cities: Labor and farm continuity in agricultural practice due to climate change, extreme temperature variation, pests elimination, marketing problems and lack of generational change to continue with this activity.


The exhibition highlights the importance of agricultural production for the benefit of society in order to have access to healthy, nutritious and sufficient food throughout the year, as well as the issues addressed in SDG 2 "Zero hunger" that seeks to end to hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.


The exhibition is part of the projects: "Strengthening local capacities to promote food security in the State of Puebla, Mexico" and "Fostering interrelation between agricultural producers and the university community." It has the participation of Rosario Pastor, Ana Ramirez , Juan David Escorcia and Jordi Morató from the UNESCO Chair of Sustainability-UPC and the collaboration of the Center de Cooperació per al Desenvolupament-UPC, Ajuntament de Terrassa, Fundació Miquel Agustí and Fundació Sant Galderic.


The exhibition is open and free for all.
