On Saturday, February 18, 2017, an excursion to the Llobregat River was held in Olesa de Montserrat, in the framework of World Water Day, and framed in the project funded by the Diputación de Barcelona "Strengthening of local technical capacities for the improvement of the water and sanitation service to Izcuchaca, Cusco, Peru".
The activity has been carried out by the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the City Council of Olesa de Montserrat. The main objectives that have been achieved are:
Sensitize the population in the care of water.
Motivate the child and youth population to research and study related to the river preservation.
Develop experimental activities in the river (analytics of hardness, turbidity, pH, etc.).
