From May 15 to 18, 2018, the IV Pan American Conference on Wetland Systems was held in Lima, organized by the National Agrarian University La Molina and co-organized by the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability among other universities.
The coordinator of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainability was one of the keynote speakers presenting "Appropriate Technologies and Wetlands of Treatment within the framework of the Circular Economy". In addition, in one of the parallel sessions, the results of the LIFE Ecorkwaste project were presented.
During the last day of the congress, we had the opportunity to talk about cooperation projects between the UPC and Peru, with Prof. Marcos Alegre, vice minister of Environmental Management from the Environment Ministry of Peru.
